I ran across this festive 4th of July recipe and couldn't pass up making one to take to work Saturday night. And when I walked out the door leaving the tart behind, my amazingly wonderful husband (who would have gladly kept it for himself) packed up the kids and transported the tart to me at work. Once the fist slice was made and the forks were out (OK, we ate it with plastic spoons, the only utensil deemed necessary on our unit...) there were rave reviews all around. You really can't go wrong with a vanilla pastry cream topped with fresh berries and an apricot glaze...
